Foreign Minister of Bangladesh has warmly greeted the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the second consecutive victory of her party and newly elected Chief-Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal for the resounding victory of BJP in the State.
‘This is an apt recognition of your pro-poor and pro-development policies and your dedication for betterment of the people of West Bengal’, Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali wrote to Mamata Banerjee. He highlighted that Bangladesh-India relations has reached a new height under the current leaderships in Dhaka and New Delhi. The commonalities of language and culture of the peoples of Bangladesh and West Bengal would play a vital role in further strengthening the relations between the two countries.
Congratulating the Assam Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal on the resounding victory of BJP, Foreign Minister stated that this was the reflection of the aspirations of the people of Assam for the all-round development of the State. He also hoped that the new leadership in Assam will further boost the people-to-people connectivity and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and North Eastern States.
He also invited both the Chief Ministers to visit Bangladesh at their conveniences.
