Mesmerizing presentation of Rezwana Choudhury Bannya in New Delhi
The Tagore lovers of New Delhi were captivated by the melodious presentations of renowned Bangladeshi Rabidra Sangeet exponent Rezwana Choudhury Bannya on Monday at a program arranged by the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Monday (16 May 2016). Attended by a large number of Tagore devotees, diplomats, high officials and 1971-war veterans, the program was graced by Dr. Nazma Heptullah, Minister for Minority Affairs of India as the chief guest.
Welcoming the august gathering Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali highlighted the invaluable contribution of Tagore in the transformation of Bengali literature into its modern age. Tagore immortal creations will remain ever relevant to the day to day life of all Bengalis, he said.
In her remarks chief guest Dr. Nazma Heptullah mentioned the attachment of the people of the two countries to the works of Rabindranath Tagore. She emphasized that the creations of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore has passed the test of time and brought the souls of the people of the two countries closer in a common bond of friendship.
